Bernard Molan founded the business in 1994 as Molan Plumbing, starting out as a plumber, his dog and a LandCruiser ute. Now trading as Molan Phillips from Albion, it is a plumbing installation and design firm working with Brisbane builders and private clients on commercial and luxury residential projects. Its design and construction work spans civil, commercial and domestic plumbing, including sewer, stormwater, trade waste, hot and cold water, rainwater, gas, sub-metering and fire hydrant and hose reel systems. Its commercial portfolio includes multi-unit apartments, high rise buildings, tilt panel warehouses, childcare and shopping centres, restaurants and car washes. A maintenance division covers Brisbane, repairing water, gas, sewer and stormwater pipework, servicing and replacing hot water systems and fixtures, and attending emergency call outs. Gas services include service piping, commissioning and appliance installation. Staff test and certify thermostatic mixing valves and backflow devices each year. It holds QBCC licence 66692.
